An allroad adventure, Cycling in Flanders style! Meaning: suffering on numerous climbs, including well known cobbled ones, but especially gravel and dirt road alternatives through the forests and the countryside of the Flemish Ardennes.
A next level gravel adventure!
Relieve the 1963 and 1988 UCI World Championships in Ronse
Ronse is traditionally part of the Ronde van Vlaanderen course and has twice hosted the UCI Road World Championships. Both in 1963 and 1988, the rainbow jersey was awarded there. Both events resulted in exceptional tales. If you’d like to relive those times, you can indulge in a reconstruction of the Ronse courses, but starting from Oudenaarde.
Maybe you can try to do it with a little less drama?
Ronde Van Vlaanderen Blue Loop
The blue loop is the shortest of the three on offer from the Centrum Ronde Van Vlaanderen, but this by no guarantees an easy day in the saddle. It's Parcours is a circuit around the finale of the Ronde beginning with the classic trio of the Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg and Koppenberg. If you've still got the legs you'll continue on to the Taaienberg, Kruisberg and Hotondberg before returning to Oudenaarde.
Ronde Van Vlaanderen Red Loop
The Red Loop will route you through the beautiful Flemish Ardennes all the way to Geraardsbergen with its mythical ‘Muur’. But the 20% cobbles up the chapel aren't the only challenge you'll face... Classic hills like Foreest, the Berendries, the Bosberg and the Eikenberg are also dotted throughout a challenging route.
Ronde van Vlaanderen Yellow Loop
Cobbles are the speciality of the yellow loop where you will be challenged by some serious cobblestone roads, such as Huispontweg, Doorn, the famous Paddestraat and Kerkgate. That's not all, however, the Wolvenberg, Nokereberg and the famed Molenberg will put your climbing legs to the test also.
Super Klassieker De Ronde - Roubaix
The finishes of De Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris-Roubaix are really quite close together, less then 40km! From Oudenaarde, you can be on the iconic banking of the velodrome where Paris-Roubaix finishes in no time. The Super Klassieker (Floubaix) is an extremely indirect course of 120km from the Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen to the velodrome in Roubaix, taking in the edited highlights of both races. The train takes you back or cycle back along the river.
Get ready to shake them bones!!
Flanders Divide - 564K of bikepacking
The Flanders Divide, a new bikepacking route right through Flanders. The 564 km long route consists of more than 40% unpaved paths and winds from Genk in the far east of Flanders to Ostend by the sea.
