Studio Flandrien plaatst een nieuwe tussensprint. De groene trui gaan we niet winnen. Wel opnieuw een stapel wielerboeken. En deze keer niet de minste wielerhelden, goddelijk beschreven: de Balen Express, de Kannibaal van Baal, de Leeuw van Vlaanderen, Il Bimbo d'oro en ondanks alles The Boss. De emotie, de drama, de heroïek in en rond de koers krijgen -zoals tussen start en aankomst- hun beslag in woorden, zinnen, dialogen, overschouwingen en anekdotes. Een nieuwe stapel ligt in Studio Flandrien geduldig te wachten om vastgenomen te worden door moegetergde wielerhanden die het laveren door bochten en over de kasseien niet kunnen verbergen.
